Located in the Landes de Gascogne region, 50 km from Bordeaux, the Arcachon Basin is bounded by 85 km of coastline and wooded dunes. It’s the perfect place to organise an authentic, high-quality trip, with its famous Dune of Pilat, oyster huts, beaches, bike paths and the magnificent mansions of the “winter town”, Arcachon’s upscale district.
Your stay will unfold to the rhythm of nature and the tides. Guests at your seminar or incentive trip will take time to stroll along the beach or the port of Arcachon, wander through the markets or listen to the sea from a boat on the way to the Banc d’Arguin national reserve or the Île aux Oiseaux and its two tchanquées (“stilt-mounted”) cabins.
As part of Arcachon’s own eco-tourism approach, “pescatourism”, you’ll board an oyster-farming barge to accompany an oyster farmer to his oyster beds
and understand the challenges of protecting this exceptional natural environment.
Lovers of lively evenings will not be left out: after a drink at sunset, the terraces of the many seaside establishments will welcome you for fabulous seafood dinners.
Originating at the time of the sea bathing boom in the 19th century, Arcachon has preserved its traditions, authenticity and uniqueness. - Dune of Pilat: Climb to the top of Europe’s highest dune to admire a unique panorama of the Arcachon Basin! 106.6 m high, 3 km long and 40 centuries of history!
- L’île aux Oiseaux: Departing from the piers of the Arcachon Basin, board a pinasse, barge or pleasure boat to discover Ile aux Oiseaux and its famous tchanquées (“stilt-mounted”) cabins.
- Excursion by semi-rigid boat to the Banc d’Arguin National Nature Reserve, one of the natural gems of the Arcachon Basin!
- Discover the oyster villages and ports (Mimbeau, Gujan-Mestras, Andernos, l’Aiguillon, Cap Ferret, l’Herbe, le Canon or Biganos). Discover the area on foot, by bike or by boat, and sample a few oysters at the oyster farmer’s place, stroll among the colourful shacks or admire the comings and goings of the punts.
- Water sports: canoeing, paddle, sailboat regattas.
- “Pescatourism”: board a boat with an oyster farmer to share his daily life and his passion for the sea.

Wake up early to visit the Arcachon fish auction, where you'll find sole, gilthead bream, turbot, meagre, sea bass, octopus, cuttlefish...
