Marrakech

Marrakech, the Red City, is sometimes called the “Pearl of the South,” a reflection of its exceptional beauty. Nestled behind the high walls of its ramparts, the narrow alleyways of the Medina form a labyrinth that invites exploration. The heart of Marrakech beats in Jemaa el-Fna Square and its souks, where beyond the tourist shops selling souvenirs and babouches, you’ll discover artisans (carpenters, blacksmiths, and dyers) at work, whether during a photo rally or a simple walk. The splendor of its architecture and buildings, such as the Ben Youssef Medersa and the Bahia Palace, testify to the power of the former Arabo-Andalusian empire, which once stretched as far as Seville, where the Giralda was built—a twin of the Koutoubia.

Marrakech is distinguished by its exceptional art of living, shared with other imperial cities of Morocco (Fez, Meknes, Rabat), found in its cuisine, the refinement of its dining arts, and the skill of its artisans and artists.

A week’s stay is not enough to explore the full wealth of the Red City. Marrakech is the perfect starting point for 4×4 excursions to discover landscapes of surprising diversity (Ourika Valley, Atlas foothill villages, Agafay desert…).

A privatized riad in the Medina can host small groups (up to 40 people) for a board meeting or exceptional trip, while larger events (corporate seminars, conventions, incentive trips) can be accommodated in the hotels of the Hivernage district or the Palmeraie.
